Next Steps

Step Two

The VA will assign you a case manager to review your situation.  You may be required go through an assessment to determine from which programs you will most benefit.  You must complete your programs to receive assistance from Arkansas Veterans Village.

Step Three

After you have completed your assessment, you may qualify for a HUD/VASH (Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing) voucher for housing or St. Francis House SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) program.  In Rogers, Arkansas there is a 15 bed transitional living facility that services the Northwest Arkansas area.  Until your housing is available, you may be assigned to that facility,  If it is filled, your case manager will contact Arkansas Veterans Village.  If your case manager believes you  are a "fit" for our program, they will contact us and we will provide your transitional housing for a period of time usually determined by the availability of housing.

Step Four

You and your case manager and an AVV representative will meet at the chosen facility (local hotel) and you will be given a Client Housing Handbook.  It will be explained to you and if you agree to the terms, we will begin providing transitional housing.

Step Five

Your case manager will contact you weekly to determine if you still meet the requirements for transitional housing.  As long as you follow the terms of the agreement, we will provide the housing required.

Additional Information

In accordance with the rules of the Northwest Arkansas Veterans Coalition, this is a one time opportunity.  If you have been through either of the programs above previously, we may choose not to provide support.
