Additional Information

Step Two:  The VA will assign you a case manager to review your situation.  You may be required to go through one of many tests or programs to help you adjust to your new life.  You must complete your programs to receive assistance from us.

Step Three:  After you have completed your program, you may qualify for a VASH voucher for housing or the St. Francis Program.  In either case, you are on your way to permanent housing.  The VA program has 65 beds in the service are provided by the clinics above.  In Rogers, AR there is a 15 bed facility that services the Fayetteville, AR area.  Until your apartment is available, you may be assigned to that facility. If it is filled, your case manager will contact Arkansas Veterans Village.  If your case manage beliefs you are "a fit" for our program, we will provide your transitional housing for a period of time, normally 1-5 weeks.

Step 4:  You, your case manager and an AVV representative will meet at the assigned facility and you will be given a Client Housing Handbook.  It will be explained to you and if you agree to the rules, we will begin to provide you transitional housing.

Step 5:  Your case manager will contact you weekly to determine if you still meet the requirements for transitional housing.  As long as you follow the rules, we will provide the housing required.

Warning:  in Accordance with the rules of the North West Arkansas Veterans Coalition, this is a one time opportunity.  if you have been through either of the programs above previously, we may choose not to provide support.
